Through their engagement towards Net Zero, globally a total of 236 asset managers have already committed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050, with the objective to limit global warming to 1.5°C. In Switzerland, the Federal Council encouraged the financial sector to join net-zero international alliances and is working towards industry agreements.
Since December 2021, the Asset Management Association Switzerland (AMAS) is an official partner of the Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative (NZAMI), the Global Finance Alliance for Net Zero for Asset Managers. As of today, over 25 members of AMAS are part of its signatories.

And you, what do you need to get there and why?

The Asset Management Association Switzerland invites you to a Webinar on April 6th, 2022 from 10 to 11am. This online event will address the following key questions:
- What does Net Zero mean for an Asset Manager?
- Why does Net Zero matter to Switzerland?
- Why and how leading Asset Managers committed, defined and implemented Net Zero objectives?

The Webinar will share the experience of speakers from the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change, the Swiss Confederation as well as Asset Managers and practitioners which already went the route of committing to Net-Zero. While the first part of the webinar will mostly be informative, the second part will focus on the exchange of experiences of Asset Managers.

The Swiss Bankers Association organizes a similar webinar with a focus on the banking industry and the Net-Zero Bankers alliances on the same day, April 6th, 2022 from 11am to 12pm.
