EFAMA Asset Management Report: Switzerland moves to 3rd place in Europe

Switzerland is now ranked 3rd in Europe as a location for asset management. This is according to the "Asset Management Report 2023" published by the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA), the umbrella organisation of European asset management associations.
According to the report, the Swiss asset management industry managed assets totalling 2,852 billion euros at the end of 2022. This means that Switzerland's share of the overall asset management market rose from 9.9% in 2021 to 10.3%. The UK remains the market leader with a market share of 35.7%, followed by France with 16.5%. Germany is now behind Switzerland with a market share of 9.9%.
