In front of more than 300 visitors at the Bellevue Palace in Bern, Marlene Amstad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), Ulf Lewrick, Chief Economist of the BIS, Martin Schlegel, Vice Chairman of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank (SNB) and Sergio Ermotti, CEO of UBS, spoke about developments, risks and opportunities in Swiss asset management and the financial center.

A credible sustainable financial centre without greenwashing

The Federal Council today identified measures and explained that the prerequisites lie in the high credibility of the financial center and the avoidance of greenwashing. The Asset Management Association Switzerland supports the implementation of the measures and will contribute its positions to the individual working groups.

Glacier Initiative: AMAS favors indirect counterproposal
The Swiss electorate will vote on the draft Climate Protection Act, which arose from the withdrawn Glacier Initiative. The new Act would place some of the burden on the Swiss asset management industry. AMAS is in favor of this in principle.
