The Faculty of Economics at the University of Neuchâtel presents an annual Ethics in Finance Award to a financial market participant based in Switzerland or Liechtenstein. The award recognises a particular ethical behaviour in the financial sector that can be recognised by other financial market participants as an example of good ethical behaviour. Applications for the award can be submitted on their website.

AMAS Meet & Eat: The Deposit Token: SBA white paper on a digital Swiss franc

The Swiss Bankers Association (SBA) has published a white paper on a digital Swiss franc. In it, it outlines variants of "tokenised" book money on the blockchain. If issued by regulated banks, a deposit token could make an important contribution to Switzerland’s future competitiveness and innovative power, as well as bolster its sovereignty. In this AMAS Meet & Eat Seminar, Martin Hess (SBA) presents the characteristics and possible variants of the DT and discusses open implementation questions.

AMAS Meet & Eat: Digitales Zentralbankengeld – wo steht die SNB?

DLT und die Tokenisierung können zu Veränderungen beim Handel, der Abwicklung und der Verwahrung von Wertschriften führen. Die SNB hat im Rahmen von Experimenten verschiedene Möglichkeiten geprüft, wie Zentralbankgeld auf DLT zur Verfügung gestellt werden kann. Sébastien Kraenzlin, Leiter Banking Operations bei der Schweizerischen Nationalbank, wird in seinem Referat auf die bisherigen Erkenntnisse der Experimente sowie die geplanten nächsten Vorhaben eingehen.
