DLT and tokenization may lead to changes in the trading, settlement and custody of securities. The SNB has been investigating various options for making central bank money available on DLT as part of experiments. In his presentation, Prof. Dr. Sébastien Kraenzlin, Head of Banking Operations at the SNB, will discuss the findings of the experiments to date as well as the planned issuance of a wholesale CBDC in a production environment.
